Dean Rosko got his professional start at age 13 at Rollaero Skate Center in Cudahy, WI, and played every Saturdayevening for roller skating for eight years.
Upon graduating high school, he was named Official Organist of the Milwaukee Brewers beginning in the 2003 season, a position he currently holds. Since 2004, he has been a staff organist at Greenfield’s landmark Organ Piper Music Palace, where he enjoys entertaining patrons on the restaurant’s 1920’s Wurlitzer theatre pipe organ.
He also currently serves as Vice-President of the Dairyland Theatre Organ Society, and is a member of the American Guild of Organists, Milwaukee Chapter.
In February of 2013, Dean assumed the post of Principal Organist at Milwaukee’s Church of the Gesu, where he plays the largest pipe organ in Wisconsin, the four-manual, 115-rank Schantz, newly renovated and installed there in 2011.
The Oriental Kimball Theatre Pipe organ is the largest theatre-installed Kimball pipe organ in the world, and since 2006, he has been involved here at the Oriental in various capacities helping to maintain and present the instrument, both as an organist providing intermission music for movie patrons, and helping to organize and present concerts in 2008 and 2009. He can be heard here most Friday evenings before the 7PM show.
